Navijin Enterprise: Chassis Switches to Wi-Fi 7

Navijin is much more than PoE switches and access points. For campuses, hospitals, hotels, universities, government buildings and data rooms, Navijin offers a complete enterprise network: modular L3 chassis switches, 10G/100G core switches, L3 PoE++ access switches, Wi-Fi 7 access points and enterprise gateways with WLAN control. This guide shows the full architecture and how it compares with Cisco, Aruba and Huawei. Navas Technology LLC in Dubai is the official Navijin distributor for EMEA.

1. Chassis Switches: DCS5500 Series

  • DCS5506C: 6-slot Layer 3 chassis with hot-swappable modules, dual management modules and triple power bays. Supports up to 192 Gigabit, 192 SFP, 64x 10G SFP+ and 16x 40G QSFP+ ports, with 2.56Tbps switching capacity and 810Mpps throughput. IPv4/IPv6 routing includes RIP, OSPF, BGP, PIM and VRRP. Security includes ACL, 802.1X, DHCP snooping, IP Source Guard and ARP inspection.
  • DCS5503C: 3-slot version with dual hot-swappable management modules and triple power bays. Supports up to 120 Gigabit, 40x 10G SFP+ and 8x 40G QSFP+ ports, with full IPv4/IPv6 routing.
  • Line cards: 24x GE + 8x 10G, 48x GE, 48x SFP, 16x 10G SFP+ and 4x 40G QSFP+ modules, so you can grow as the campus grows.

Where it fits: hospital and university campus cores, hotel and mall backbones, and government buildings that need redundancy and high port density in one chassis.

2. Core and Aggregation: 10G and 100G

  • NGS1920-24T4X: 24x 10G SFP+ and 2x 100G QSFP28, 880Gbps switching capacity and 654Mpps throughput. L3 routing with BGP, OSPF, VRRP and policy routing. Security includes ACL, DHCP snooping, 802.1X and DoS protection. Managed via CLI, web, SNMPv3 and SSH, with stacking.
  • NGS3912E: 12x 10G SFP+ and 8x Gigabit RJ45 with L3 routing (OSPF, RIP, static), 176Gbps, and redundant AC power and fans. A compact core for mid-size buildings.
  • SG3801 series: managed fibre and copper aggregation with VLAN, QoS, ACL, ERPS ring and 802.1X.

3. L3 PoE Access Switches

  • GE7722-P28X4-L3: 24x Gigabit PoE+ (30W per port, 370W total budget) with 4x 10G SFP+ uplinks, 128Gbps and Layer 3 static routing.
  • GE5210-P48S4-L3: 48x Gigabit PoE/PoE+/PoE++ (802.3bt, up to 90W) with 4x 10G SFP+ and 176Gbps. Ready for Wi-Fi 7 APs, PTZ cameras and video phones.

4. Wi-Fi 7 Access Points

  • NW-AP725-2.5G: tri-band ceiling AP with 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz, up to 9300Mbps (688 + 2882 + 5764Mbps). It has a 2.5G uplink plus an extra 1G port, supports 350+ users within 35 metres, and offers 802.11k/v/r roaming, mesh and IPv6.
  • NW-OAP739-2.5G: outdoor tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with a 6dBi antenna, up to 9300Mbps and a 2.5G uplink. For stadiums, campuses, resorts and plazas.

Why Wi-Fi 7 matters: the 6GHz band adds clean spectrum away from crowded 2.4/5GHz, so high-density areas such as lecture halls, conference centres and hotel ballrooms get far more capacity per AP.

5. Enterprise Gateways and WLAN Controllers

  • NG-GE5500: enterprise gateway and WLAN controller that manages up to 500 APs and 1000 users. Includes multi-WAN load balancing, policy routing, behaviour management, URL filtering and VPN (IPsec, L2TP, PPTP, OpenVPN).
  • NC-GE4200: gateway and controller for up to 128 APs and 200 users, with multi-ISP load balancing and VPN.
  • NG-GE62S1000: 5x 2.5G ports, with PPPoE/DHCP/static WAN access.
